# What is zGND?

zGND is an addition to the GND protocol that introduces liquidity to our staking process. By leveraging liquid-staking mechanisms, zGND allows users to stake their GND tokens while always being able to convert back to GND through the market. This innovation opens up new possibilities for investors who want to maximize the potential of their GND assets without risking illiquidity.

Instead of only being able to stake xGND to earn ETH revenue, users now have the option to stake zGND to earn 50% of the yield of xGND, while remaining liquid, or provide GND-zGND liquidity to earn on GND Farm.
